The spring box

What is still known from conventional beds as bed frame and mattress has become a whole in a box spring bed - the spring box. This wooden box, usually covered with fabric and standing on legs, is already equipped with a spring system (Bonell or barrel pocket springs).
It ensures an even and comprehensive lying comfort. The spring box is originally designed for one person, but can also be purchased as a double bed box. To ensure maximum sleeping comfort, we recommend two individual spring boxes, which are held together by a metal connection.
This way both persons can fully benefit from the high sleeping comfort provided by the spring box and a restful sleep is guaranteed.

The (upper) mattress

The spring box is followed by a suitable hotel mattress, in our hotel beds normally the spring box mattress. There are usually three different types of innerspring mattresses. There is the pocket spring box mattress, the barrel pocket spring box mattress and the bonell spring box mattress.

• The pocket spring mattress is, as you can guess from its name, equipped with springs that are packed in individual pockets. The pockets, in turn, are sewn together to form a consistent mattress layer.
  Thanks to its point elasticity, this mattress ensures a very high level of sleeping comfort, as it adapts perfectly to the shape of the body. The pocket spring mattress is usually suitable for adjustable beds.
• The bonell spring core mattress has no such pockets, also the springs are different, they are thinner at the top and bottom than in the middle. This ensures a more comprehensive distribution of the weight, so it feels somewhat harder.
  Due to its higher firmness, it is not suitable for adjustable hotel beds.
• Like the pocket spring mattress, the barrel pocket spring mattress has its springs packed in individual pockets in a high quality. The difference between these two can be found in the shape of the springs. In the case of the pocket spring core mattress these are spirally arranged, but on the barrel pocket spring core mattress they are more bulbous, i.e. thicker in the middle or wider than at the top and bottom.
  This provides an even higher point elasticity and adapts even better to the body. It also has better air circulation, which is enabled by slightly larger cavities. The barrel pocket spring core mattress in turn can be used for adjustable hotel beds.

The hotel topper, or top mattress, is the last and also a quite important part, because here you lie directly on it, which is why the individual needs for a healthy sleep should be taken very precisely here.
When customers buy hotel beds from us, we always recommend a continuous topper, so that two single mattresses can be bought and sleeping without a middle gap is made possible.
Two single mattresses have the advantage, as also the recommendation of the two single spring boxes, that the sleep is even more comfortable for each person individually.
Since, as already mentioned, you are lying directly on the relatively thin topper, you should carefully read through all the following materials and their associated properties, weigh up the pros and cons and then decide.

• The cold foam topper is point-elastic, which means that it adapts to your lying position, but at the same time it is not very soft, but rather a little firmer.
• The Visco-Foam Topper is very elastic, soft and reacts to body heat. This means that when you go to sleep, this Topper or Visco-Foam reacts thanks to your body heat and adapts to your sleeping position. This can also be seen as a disadvantage for restless sleepers, because after you have turned around it takes a little while until the Topper "reacts".
• The topper made of natural materials, such as cotton, wool or silk is very good at balancing the temperature. They also absorb moisture very well. One should differentiate between wool, which absorbs heat more easily than silk. Silk provides a cooler sleeping climate. For all fibre-containing natural materials applies, the body weight compresses the fibres in the long run, which affects the longevity compared to other toppers.
• A latex topper is rather tighter, adapts to your current lying position due to its point elasticity and has a regulating effect on the sleeping climate. Since most latex toppers are made of synthetic latex and this does not allow water to pass through so well, it is not suitable for people who sweat at night. On the other hand it is good that most latex toppers are made of natural latex, which is ideal for allergy sufferers.

Which degree of hardness should I choose?

The degree of hardness is directly dependent on your lying or sleeping position. So if you are more of a stomach or back sleeper, we recommend a slightly higher degree of firmness.
For side sleepers, we recommend a softer degree of strength, because the shoulder and hips should be able to sink in a little so that the spine can be supported sustainably. The following degrees of hardness are represented in our range:

You have the opportunity to buy already configured and original hotel beds, but you can also have the hotel bed individually configured or designed for you. 1. box spring bed size

Here you can choose between the size of the hotel bed. You can also choose whether you want a single bed, a double bed or two single beds with connectors, which are always supplied automatically with two single beds. The following sizes are available for you to choose from:

We recommend you to choose two single beds when buying a box spring hotel bed for two people. In this way an even higher sleeping comfort for both parties can be guaranteed. To avoid a middle gap, we suggest a continuous topper.

2. colour of the bed base (spring box)

In step two you can decide which colour the bed drawer covered with cover fabric should have. The following colour options are available:

Black, Grey Brown, Anthracite, Chocolate, Petrol, White, Cream, Nougat, Cappuccino, Brown, Poppy, Burgundy, Light Grey, Grey.

3. the shape of the back part

In the third step you can choose the preferred shape of the back part. You can ignore the colours of the respective back parts shown here, it is only about the model of the box spring bed back part. The back part is attached to the box spring bed in different ways depending on the model. Either with a wooden strip for wall mounting or with a plug-in rail for attachment directly to the bed. 4. mattress type and degree of hardness

In step 4 on the way to your new hotel bed, you can choose the type of the mattress, i.e. whether a large continuous one or two single ones, and the respective hardness of the mattress or mattresses. If you have chosen a single bed at the beginning, then logically there are no double bed mattresses available, the same applies to double beds. As with the mattress selection, here too you have only a selection of mattresses at your disposal. To be precise, our best and most sold toppers.
